Seriously, wtf? A lot of older apps that had more fleshed out profiles and an actual description of a person have abandoned their models and copied Tinder when they saw how successful it was. Tinder is the ultimate physical attraction above all else app.
Let’s be honest - the picture is like 85-90% of dating apps these days. You see a picture of a person, if you find them physically attractive you swipe on them. At most, people usually have 2-3 sentences about themselves. What criteria exactly are people using to find a friend based on a swipe?
Are they building this friendship on the foundation of wanting to fuck their friends? I just don’t get it, and i’m tired of seeing “just here because i’m bored of quarantine” or “only looking for friends”. Why the hell do you have a pic of yourself in a bikini? It feels disingenuous. Maybe I just don’t get it. I know how difficult it can be to build friends the older you get, but I can’t wrap my head around why dating apps are the tool some people use to do that.
